COLLAGRAPH PRINTS
by Stephanie Milner

Stephanie uses found and recycled items to make collagraphs: prints created from a collage of items and textures that have been applied to a rigid surface called “plates.”

Stephanie is a Printmaker, originally from Cleveland, OH. She was first introduced to Printmaking through the Cleveland Institute of Art’s program in Lacoste, France. She continued studying Printmaking at Cleveland State University and is now at The Art Students’ League of New York. Stephanie has been making these prints for over 15 years.

More about the Maker

What do you do here at 420 Lexington?
I’m a Receptionist at ESRB.

Where do you find your materials?
Most of my materials are office items that would otherwise be discarded. Many of my plates came from the backing cardboard for a shipment of flyers we received at my old office. I use the plastic straps that secure large boxes. I have scooped out many a hole-puncher. I am also a huge fan of the tabs in the K-Cup boxes.
